ALEX MCGRATH

Born and raised in Southern California, Alex McGrath has always had his eye on design.  It began with his interest in creating digital art in Microsoft Paint at age 6, which transitioned to the use of Photoshop at age 14, and eventually the beginning of a strong relationship with Illustrator at age 19.  His self-teaching ability and admiration for the natural landscapes of his home-state instilled a drive to familiarize himself with a style known as flat design.  In 2017, Alex began attending California State University of Fullerton to formally fine-tune his design skills.  While in school, Alex began accepting freelance graphic design assignments from peers and local businesses in order to gain project experience.  Alex began an internship at an investment company called JSA, creating various logos and clothing designs for the women’s clothing brand Coffee in the Shower.  Designing at JSA gave Alex the possibility to diversify his skills in an industry irrelevant to his action-sports-oriented interests.  Alex finished his schooling in May of 2019 with a BA in Communications and a concentration in Photocommunications.  Alex is currently based out of Orange County, and his drive to thrive as a graphic designer means he will be accepting jobs both locally, and anywhere else his design expertise can be utilized.
